Alyssa, Gratefully Nourished

Hi! I’m Alyssa Pike!

I’m the founder of Gratefully Nourished, follower of Jesus, new mom and registered dietitian nutritionist who believes food is a gift, health is multidimensional and perfection is a myth. I provide resources and coaching to women and moms who are looking to eat healthy without obsession–and without sacrificing their relationship with food.

I understand the desire to eat healthy without obsessing over it... I’ve been there myself.

In my complicated relationship with food, I didn’t have any resources or support, which made the path to health without obsession long and lonely. That’s why Gratefully Nourished was created – to teach you how to honor your health without sacrificing your relationship with food and to encourage you along the way. There’s no shame in suffering from obsessive food thoughts, diet cycles and nutrition confusion. In fact, it’s super normal. But it doesn’t have to be! That’s where Gratefully Nourished comes in. By marrying compassion and evidence, we’ll teach you how to eat healthfully without fear, stress or shame. You were made for this.

Testimonials

Molly
“Learning how and feeling free to listen to my body when it comes to food especially has been life-changing! I no longer feel trapped by my cravings or by my ideas around food but feel free to eat what I want, when I want which has allowed me to eat fun food without overeating or feeling badly about myself afterwards. This has also helped me build more self-compassion which has had significant benefits in other areas of my life like my job and my body.”
Julia
“Since we began working together, I feel that I have made a lot of progress toward a better relationship with food, exercise, and body image. I am learning that I was made for more than dieting and exercising, constantly trying to fit into a mold of what a woman “should” weigh and how a woman “should” look. I feel much more peace and freedom when it comes to eating. I am not afraid to rest when my body asks for rest. My body image continues to improve after having worked with Alyssa for a year and having the tools to handle bad body image days.“
Katie
“I set the following goals: have a better understanding of what health and balanced eating looks like, have a healthy attitude when it comes to food and body image, be equipped to manage difficulties if I am tempted to return to my ED in the future. I absolutely feel as though I’ve reached these goals and more since we began working together.”
Kate
“Alyssa compassionately delivers honest and informative guidance on nutrition & helps you put it into practice in your own life. She creates a safe space to share your thoughts + feelings, while helping you understand areas of growth for your relationship with food.”

Meet Alyssa Pike

Founder, Owner, Gratefully Nourished

Alyssa Pike, RDN is a credentialed Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who cares deeply about helping you learn how to eat healthy without obsessing over it. In the 6+ years she has been a dietitian, her work has spanned mass health and nutrition communications all the way to individual counseling sessions. Alyssa has had the opportunity to sift through nutrition research and pull out the important takeaways for nutrition education materials, craft compelling social media communications, develop consumer research initiatives that provide insights on what Americans think about food, nutrition and health, and work individually with people struggling along the spectrum of disordered eating and eating disorders.

She is most fulfilled when given the opportunity to help people expand their definition of health and learn how to make thoughtful, nourishing and enjoyable food choices – regardless of the setting. Alyssa’s favorite moments are slow and simple, like enjoying a cappuccino first thing in the morning or sitting across a table with friends. Her ultimate intention is to orient her life around what she feels Jesus is asking of her and is reminded daily of her deep need for grace.
